With four years of experience in business research and 15 years of experience in strategy consulting, I’ve gained a great deal of expertise in strategy design and implementation, as well as in new business development and corporate reorganization. As a consultant, I’ve learned that understanding and adapting to a client organization’s ambitions, passions, and capabilities is often more important for achieving results than optimizing the organization’s strategy design.
My contribution often lies in bringing structure to complex issues, defining and implementing the necessary analyses, facilitating decision-making, and mobilizing employees. I see it as my responsibility to always challenge clients and colleagues with sound, factual analyses, while keeping one goal in mind: to ensure that the organization is moving in the right direction by working together. For me, good working relationships and mutual understanding are important prerequisites to achieving this goal. Clients return to me again and again, not just because of the results we achieve, but also because of how energizing and fun it is to work together.
I love working together with clients, but spending time with my wife and three kids is just as energizing. I always try to make time to play a game of tennis or go for a run, and I love to go mountain biking, especially with my friends and family. I’m also passionate about contributing to my local community in the town of Soest, both through my church and at my kids’ school. Sitting still is not one of my strong suits, except when I’m reading a good book.
