After a study in Public Administration and Organizational science I soon realized that solving social problems or complex issues is what gives me the most joy. I started working in the consultancy at Berenschot focusing on healthcare and the social domain. At the Dutch Inspection of Health- and Youth care I’ve broadened my knowledge by focusing on the implementation of a new law for new healthcare providers and all the quality requirements they must meet. I don’t believe in ‘can not’ and ‘impossible’: together there is always a way forward in every situation.
From my drive to achieve results, I get energy from ‘going the extra mile’, especially when I work on projects that demand a lot in terms of commitment and intellect. Because I am analytically strong, I have a quick overview of situations and I quickly see where things can make a difference or where things can be improved. I think it’s important to keep developing myself and learning new things, but I’m on my best when our team and our clients work together to improve the healthcare.
I live in the beautiful city of Utrecht, together with my husband and our two daughters. In my spare time I love to do a good workout in the gym or spending a hot summer day on the beach. Traveling to new places and going on a ski trip in the winter gives me a lot of energy. Finally, I am socially involved in the board of supervisory of Al Amal, a small welfare organization in Utrecht which aims to promote the participation of residents with a migration background, and in my local church.
